lee cooper seadogs jeans::As advertised the lee academy team was maybe one of the most talented teams i have seen in the state.
Someone mentioned thodos from greece in a post and i would say i was not really impressed.
Great size but no passion for the game on that night.
The following is the message i sent to the hoops players the next day: as a group i was impressed that the team competed to the best of their abilities right to the end.
The game was very useful for me to use as somewhat of a barometer of strengths and weaknesses of the group.
Clearly, one game is a small sample, but i think it is nice to get feedback from my observations about areas as an individual that i would suggest concentrating on.
Do not take any offense, this is more of what i see as roles for us to be a successful team.
It will very much be part of what we do in the spring.
Defending on the ball screens is also something we will stress.
After sending this, i shared with each individual player what i saw as strengths and what they needed to work on to improve our chances of competing next spring and summer.
Overall, despite the wide margin, the game served its purpose, which was to give an opportunity for the guys to get together and for me to get a quick read on their abilities and character.
